Emergency Department Scribe
Part-time | April 2021 - December 2021 | Scribe America
As an emergency department scribe in one of the busiest hospitals in Central Florida, I learned how to think quickly, and type even quicker. I was on my feet anywhere from 10 to 12 hours, following the physician in and out of rooms, and transcribing their reports. Not only did I learn how to write a detailed medical record, but I also gained experience working in the pediatric emergency room as well
Full-time | December 2021 - April 2022 | Scribe America
With prior experience working as a scribe in a busy emergency department, I found my new role as a chief to be a different level of difficulty. However, as difficult as it was in the beginning, I learned important skills and lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my professional career.
Chief Scribe
As a volunteer at the Orlando Cancer Institute, I have learned how to assist patients from all walks of life, at all stages of disease progression, varying from end-stage to those who are finishing their final round of chemotherapy.

Student Volunteer
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
I volunteered at the neonatal intensive care unit at Advent Health from the end of my senior year of high school all the way until the first few cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in the United States. Throughout my time there I learned how to care for neonates in the NICU, about protocols and treatments, different illnesses which require admission to the NICU, and how common the use of illegal substances and alcohol are during pregnancy.
June 2019 - Dec 2019
Student Volunteer
As a student volunteer at Orlando Health South Seminole, I was able to experience the environment of the emergency department, emergency waiting room, and visitor center. In each section of the hospital, I learned a valuable set of skills and was able to interact with patients and their families.

ER & Visitor Services
Although Florida Cancer Specialists are similar to volunteering at the Orlando Health Cancer Institute, I am able to have the opportunity to converse with patients while they receive therapy in addition to assisting them with food, walking, and anything else to make their visit and comfortable as possible.
